• Browsers – a little over half are using Internet Explorer and a little under half are using Firefox. All other browsers used are minimal. Make sure your site looks good in Explorer and Firefox first and foremost.

• Site Width – We design at 975 pixels wide or at 100%. Most users are at 1024x768 or higher, so our design width standard displays nicely on most screens without side-scrolling.

• Search engines – Google and Yahoo still rule the roost in searches, with MSN in a distant third place. Submitting your site to Google and Yahoo, and making sure your site shows up on the first page with certain searches give you the best odds.
